Government wheat seized

The police seized 20 quintals of wheat grain belonging to the consumer affairs and public distribution (CAPD) department from a private truck in Nowshera area today.
The police has seized the truck and arrested five persons.
Police sources said during routine checking of vehicles at a naka near Tain bridge, a truck (JKS-9282) was intercepted and 40 bags containing 20 quintals of wheat grain were recovered. The five persons revealed that the grain belonged to the CAPD department and was being taken to Jammu to be sold in the black market.
