| | Sweet shop owner robbed Tribune News Service Sangrur, January 6 A group of thieves robbed a sweet shop and dairy owner of the Bhawanigarh area of cash worth Rs 2 lakh while he was moving on his vehicle from the Kangarh-Balial road yesterday, under the jurisdiction of the Dirba police station, to make payments to his milk suppliers. The police sources said three unidentified robbers in a Tata Indica Car stopped the Tata 407 load carrier vehicle and robbed Sham Lal, owner of Sachdeva sweets and Dairy products, Bhawanigarh, worth about Rs 2 lakh of cash while he was moving along the Kangarh-Balial road. The Dirba police has registered a case under Section 392 of the IPC. Meanwhile, in yet another incident of theft, unidentified thieves stole copper and nickel worth more than Rs 2.45 lakh from a steel-industry owner in Malerkotla here. |
