Asserting that Canada has vast reserves of uranium with two third of oil reserves, Barnala-born Canadian MP Devinder Shory has claimed that Canadian Prime Minister has inked supply of adequate quantity of uranium for its use in promoting technology in India for civil purpose.

“Power is need of hour to promote industry and technology. We will contribute to maintain adequate supply of uranium as member of natural resources committee of Canada to strengthen the nuclear deal signed by India,” said ruling Conservative Party MP from Calgary Northeast in Canada Devinder Shory while addressing a meeting organised by the prominent citizens of the city last night that included his classmates under aegis of Pargatisheel Lok Manch.
Stressing the need for strengthening Indo-Canadian ties, Shory claimed that the budget for 2012, which is on anvil, would be full of tax rebates to encourage foreign investments in Canada, as Canada is blessed with huge natural resources.
Terming the increasing population of India as an asset, Shory opined that it is a good sign for its development provided the politicians and bureaucrats serve the nation with dedication and devotion, sidelining vested interests as the land is known for producing highly talented intellectual personalities.
He termed hard work, dedication and devotion as key of his success as a legal practitioner in Canada. “I established Shory Law Office in Canada, as legal profession there is noble and dignified that helped me to win over the electorates by identifying myself with the social issues,” Shory, who distinguished himself to be first Punjabi and Indian to return as MP from Calgary Northeast claimed.
