Six ultras ‘sneak’ into Poonch

Six militants reportedly managed to get to this side of the LoC from Kas Balari area in Poonch district today.

People of Ghanni village in Mendhar reportedly infor-med intelligence agencies that they had spotted the “intruders probably six in number carrying rucksacks.”

“The infiltration took place on the intervening night of May 12 and May 13 and there were reports of gun-battle between the militants and the security forces. Though the army and BSF sources claimed that infiltration attempt was successfully thwarted but our sources tell us that the militants managed to infiltrate,” an intelligence officer said. Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt-Col S.D. Goswami said, “The reports is totally wrong.”
